HOE 77/F 201 PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF FIBER-REACTIVE DYESTUFFS Abstract of the disclosure: A process for preparing fiber-reactive dyestuffs has been described which leads to a mixture of a fiber-reactive phthalocyanine dyestuff and a fiber-reactive azo dyestuff. This process utilizes the aromatic amine with the fiber reactive group, which so far was lost owing to an incomplete reaction in the preparation of the fiber-reactive phthalo- cyanine dyestuff by reacting phthalocyanine sulfochlorides with said aromatic amine and optionally other amines not containing any fiber-reactive group, for the preparation of azo dyestuffs, the amine acting as diazo component for these azo dyestuffs. Accordingly, in this novel process phthalo- cyanine sulfochlorides are reacted with aniline or naphthyl- amine compounds, which contain as fiber-reactive group the vinyl sulfonyl, the .beta.-sulfatoethyl-sulfonyl, or the .beta.-hy- droxyethyl-sulfonyl group, and optionally with another amine in common manner to give the phthalocyanine dyestuff, and subsequently the unreacted portion of the aromatic amine with this fiber-reactive group is diazotized and coupled with a coupling component which leads to yellow azo dyestuffs. In this manner a green to blue-green or olive- green dyestuff mixture is obtained. These fiber-reactive dyestuff mixtures are suitable in common manner for the dyeing of cellulose fibers, poly- amide fibers and leather. With the novel process, a com- plete utilization of high-grade dyestuff intermediates and furthermore a pollution control of production waste waters are ensured.
