A B S T R A C T PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF HYDROCARBONS A process for the preparation of an aromatic hydrocarbon mixture, in which an H2/CO mixture is contacted with a mixture of two catalysts of which one has the capability of catalysing the conversion of an H2/CO mixture into acyclic oxygen-containing hydrocarbons and the other is a ZSM-5-type crystalline alumino silicate which has the following properties: (a) the SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio is 200-750, and (b) the average crystallite size is 400-1500 nm.
