PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION Of N-PHOSPHONOMETHYL GLYCINE ABSTRACT The invention is related to an improvement of the process for the preparation of N-phosphon4methyl glycine by oxydating N-phosphonomethyl imino diacetic acid with oxygen or a gas containing oxygen in the presence of a catalyst. The invention is characterized by oxydating N-phosphonomethyl imino diacetic acid in an aqueous suspension. When comparing the process of the invention with the known processes specific convertion is considerably increased and significant energy can be saved.
