PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention a pour objet un procédé de préparation de nouveaux dérivés de 5-thiazole méthane amine de formule générale I: Image (I) dans laquelle R1 représente un radical alcoyle contenant de 1 à 6 atomes de carbone, R2 et R3, identiques ou différents, représentent un atome d'hydrogène, un radical alcoyle contenant do 1 à 6 atomes de carbone, un radical alcoyle contenant de 1 à 6 atomes de carbone substitue par un radical hydroxy, ou bien R2 et R3 forment ensemble avec l'atome d'azote auquel ils sont liés un hétérocycle saturé renfermant, si désiré, un autre atome d'azote, ledit hétérocycle pouvant être subs- titué par un radical alcoyle contenant de 1 à 4 atomes de carbone, ainsi que leurs sels d'addition avec les acides pharmaceutiquement acceptables. Lesdits dérivés ont une activité antilipolytique et hypoglycémiante.
