PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION L'invention a pour objet un procédé de préparation d'organopolysiloxanes. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à effectuer la polymérisation de siloxanes de faible masse moléculaire, en particulier de siloxanes cycliques en présence de : - 0.005 à 1 millimole d'un catalyseur alcalin pour 100 g de siloxane et - 0Ø5 à 5 moles par mole de catalyseur alcalin d'un composé mono- ou polycyclique comportant au moins trois atomes ou groupements choisis parmi -O-, -S-, -?- ou -NH-, et de 9 à 60 atomes de carbone, les atomes ou groupements précités étant liés entre eux par l'intermédiaire de groupements hydrocarbonés comportant au moins deux atomes de carbone. Les gommes obtenues selon ce procédé sont utilisables pour la fabrication d'élastomères.
