PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de préparation de perfluoroalcanols caractérisé en ce que l'on fait réagir en phase liquide un ester d'un acide perfluoré avec de l'hydrogène sous une pression comprise entre 1 et 300 bars en présence d'un catalyseur à base d'au moins un métal choisi parmi le nickel, le cobalt, le cuivre et les métaux de la mine du platine. Les perfluroalcanols obtenus sont notamment utilisables comme intermédiaires de synthèse dans l'industrie pharmaceutique ou phytosanitaire.
