T 1756 A B S T R A C T PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF POLYMERS OF CARBON MONOXIDE WITH OLEFINICALLY UNSATURATED COMPOUNDS Process for the preparation of polymers, characterized in that a) linear alternating polymers of carbon monoxide with one or more olefinically unsaturated compounds are prepared by contacting the monomers at elevated temperature and pressure with a catalyst on carrier containing a Group VIII metal, b) the preparation is carried out continuously and as a gas phase polymerization, and c) during the polymerization a fraction of the formed polymer product is recycled to the polymerization mixture, subsequent to reducing the average particle diameter thereof and to supplying fresh catalyst thereto.
