The present invention relates to a novel process for the preparation of pyrido[2,1-a] isoquinoline derivatives of the formula (I) wherein R2, R3 and R4 are each independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, hydroxy, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy and lower alkenyl, wherein lower alkyl, lower alkoxy and lower alkenyl may optionally be substituted by a group consisting of lower alkoxycarbonyl, aryl and heterocyclyl, and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The pyrido[2,1-a] isoquinoline derivatives of the formula (I) are useful for the treatment and/or prophylaxis of diseases which are associated with DPP IV.
La présente invention concerne un nouveau procédé de préparation de dérivés de pyrido[2,1-a]isoquinoléine de formule (I) dans laquelle R2, R3 et R4 sont chacun indépendamment choisis dans le groupe constitué par un atome d'hydrogène, un atome d'halogène, un groupe hydroxy, alkyle inférieur, alcoxy inférieur et alcényle inférieur, les groupes alkyle inférieur, alcoxy inférieur et alcényle inférieur pouvant éventuellement être substitués par un groupe constitué par des groupes alcoxycarbonyle inférieur, aryle et hétérocyclyle, et leurs sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables. Les dérivés de pyrido[2,1-a]isoquinoléine de formule (I) sont utiles pour le traitement et/ou la prophylaxie de maladies associées à la DPP IV.
