ABSTRACT A PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF RETROVIRUS IMMUNOGENS AND VACCINES AGAINST RETROVIRAL, NOTABLY HIV, INFECTIONS AND OBTAINED IMMUNOGENS AND VACCINES The supernatant from a retroviral particle culture such as HIV is inactivated in two steps with beta-propiolactone at low temperature and high temperature, then concentrated by ultrafiltration, subjected to gamma-irradiation, purified, preferably, by dialysis, then gel filtration and ion exchange chromatography, and heated to 60°C during at least one hour. Application for immunogens and HIV vaccines.
