A method of coating the surface of a substrate which comprises the steps of: i) contacting the surface with a polymerisable mixture comprising one or more polymerisable components and containing suspended droplets of a biliquid foam or of a high internal oil phase emulsion, the said droplets being stabilised by a non-reactive surfactant; and ii) polymerising the coating to form a polymer comprising the droplets entrapped therein.

La présente invention a trait à un procédé de revêtement de la surface d'un substrat comprenant les étapes suivantes : i) la mise en contact de la surface avec un mélange polymérisable comportant un ou des constituants polymérisables et contenant des gouttelettes suspendues d'un mousse constituée de deux liquides ou une émulsion à phase huileuse élevée, lesdites gouttelettes étant stabilisées par un tensioactif non réactif ; et ii) la polymérisation du revêtement pour former un polymère comportant des gouttelettes qui y sont retenues.
