Le procédé consiste à polymériser le monomère diène conjugué en présence d'un amorceur de polymérisation anionique et d'un solvant apolaire, puis à polymériser le monomère méthacrylate de méthyle en présence d'un ligand alcoxyalcoolate de métal alcalin en présence du même solvant. On obtient des copolymères à séquences élastomères et thermoplastiques ayant une bonne tenue à la chaleur, utiles comme adhésifs sensibles à la pression et comme agents améliorant la résistance au choc et la tenue thermique des polymères.
