ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for the preparation of thiuram disulfides substituted with aliphatic cycloaliphatic, araliphatic, or aromatic hydrocarbon radicals, said process comprising reac- ting a suitably substituted secondary amine with carbon disul- fide and in the presence of a tertiary amine or ammonia, oxy- gen or oxygen-containing gas, a solvent, and a metalliferous catalyst, at a temperature of between 0°C and 200°C.
