ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A process for the preparation of titanium thio-deriva- tives of formulae Ti cp2 (SR)2 (Ti cp2 SR)2 wherein cp represents cyclopentadienyl and R represents an alkyl, aryl or cycloalkyl radical, consisting in reacting a titanium compound of formula Ticp2 (CO)2 wherein cp has the aforesaid meanings with a disulfide of the formula S2 R2 wherein R has the aforesaid meanings. The titanium thio-derivatives obtained are useful as polymerization catalysts.
