A PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A GRANULE-SHAPED COM- POSITION COMPRISING AGRICULTURAL CHEMICAL COMPOUND ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A granule-shaped composition containing an agri- cultural chemical compound and a high proportion of an anionic surface-active agent of selected types in an effective amount to enhance the useful biological activity of said agricultural chemical compound may readily be produced by a process wherein a concentrated aqueous solution or slurry containing said agricultural chemical compound and the anionic surface-active agent at selected ratios, as well as one or more optional additives such as solid vehicle or water-soluble extender is atomized by means of a spray nozzle of specified outlet orifice diameter and is spray-dried in a spray-drying tower chamber according to counter-current flow spray-drying method in specially stipulated manner and under specially selected conditions of operation. The granule-shaped composition so produced has a substantial hollow space within each substantially spherical granule and shows high free- flowing property, favorable collapsibility or dis- integrability into water, and favorable solubility or dispersibility in water.
