Suivant l'inven- tion, la teneur en chrome de ce revêtement est supérieure à 5 µg/cm2, et sa teneur en oxyde de chrome, exprimée en chrome, est inférieure à 2,5 µg/cm2. L'invention trouve notamment son application aux produits à réaliser pour soudage électrique, en particulier corps de boîte pour boîte à conserves.
