A B S T R A C T A Process for the Production of a Profiled Panel Containing at Least Two Layers A process for the production of a profiled panel that contains at least two layers, in which a thin upper layer of expandible material backs an unvulcanized lower layer of rubber and is pressed with a counter-side during the formation of projections, said counter-side having cut-outs distributed in the manner of a pattern and exceeding the depth of the upper layer, in which the two layers are joined and consolidated by means of vulcanization and in which at least the upper layer is removed in the area of the projections by a rectilinear cutting, milling or grinding process, the panel being subjected to compression that acts perpendicular to its extent and to deformation during the removal of the upper layer in the area of the projections, to form curved surfaces on the projections.
