The present invention relates to the use of a solid composition of mixed oxides of the formula (I): Mo12VaSrbWcCudSieOx wherein 2 a 14; 0.l b 6; 0 c 12; 0 d 6; 0 e 15; and x is the amount of oxygen bonded to the elements Mo, V, Si, W, Cu and Si, and depends on their oxidation states, in the production of acrylic acid by oxidation of acrolein. The use of such a solid composition makes it possible to significantly increase the selectivity for acrylic acid.

La présente invention porte sur l'utilisation d'une composition solide d'oxydes mixtes de formule (I): Mo12 Va Sr b Wc Cu d Si e Ox (I) dans laquelle 2~a~14; 0,l~b~6; 0~c~12; 0~d~6; 0~e~15; et x est la quantité d'oxygène lié aux éléments Mo, V, Si, W, Cu et Si, et dépend de leurs états d'oxydation, dans la fabrication de l'acide acrylique par oxydation de l'acroléine. L'utilisation d'une telle composition solide permet d'augmenter nettement la sélectivité en acide acrylique.
