AECI 586 ABSTRACT A process is provided for the production of emulsion explosives in cartridge form. The emulsified explosive is tested and gas bubbles are introduced into the heated emulsion. The gassed emulsion is then introduced into cartridges at elevated pressure and the filled cartridges are thereafter cooled to solidify the emulsion and stabilize the gas bubbles therein.
