This invention relates to a process for the production of granulates substantially comprising an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal cyanide from an aqueous solution of the cyanide by fluidised bed spray granulation. According to the invention, superheated steam is used as the drying gas. The steam is preferably circulated in a closed circuit, and only excess steam is discharged and condensed. The process produces little waste gas and results in high quality granulates.

L'invention porte sur une méthode pour l'obtention de granules, constitués essentiellement d'un cyanure de métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux, à partir d'une solution aqueuse du cyanure, par granulation-pulvérisation sur lit fluidisé. Selon l'invention, de la vapeur surchauffée sert comme gaz de séchage. On fait de préférence circuler la vapeur en circuit fermé, seul l'excès de vapeur étant évacué et condensé. La méthode ne produit que peu de gaz résiduels et donne des granules de grande qualité.
