The invention relates to a process for the production of liquid pig iron or liquid intermediate products of steel from materials made from iron ore, preferably in the form of lumps and/or pellets, and optionally, fillers. During said process the materials used are directly reduced in at least a first reduction zone (12) to form spongy iron which is melted in a meltdown- gasification zone (8), with supply of carbon carriers (10) and oxygen- containing gas. A reduction gas containing CO and H2 is produced and is conveyed into the reduction zone (12) where it is reacted and removed as export gas, said export gas being fed to a consumer (20). To keep carbon carriers with a high Cfix content and the consumption of O2 at a low level, a high CO2-containing gas with a CO2 content far beyond the CO2 content of the export gas, preferably above 40 %, and a CO content (should it contain CO) far below the CO content of the export gas, is conveyed into the meltdown- gasification zone (8) where it is reacted with carbon, CO being simultaneously formed.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production de fonte brute liquide à partir de matières constituées de minerai de fer, de préférence sous la forme de morceaux et/ou de boulettes, et éventuellement, de charges. Pendant ce procédé, les matières utilisées sont réduites directement dans au moins une première zone de réduction (12) pour former du fer spongieux qui est fondu dans une zone de gazéification de fusion (8), avec apport de porteurs de carbone (10) et d'un gaz contenant de l'oxygène. Un gaz de réduction contenant du CO et du H¿2? est produit et introduit dans la zone de réduction (12) où on le fait réagir et d'où il est retiré en tant que gaz de dégagement, ledit gaz de dégagement étant conduit à un consommateur (20). Pour maintenir les porteurs de carbone avec une haute teneur en C¿fix? et la consommation de O¿2? à un niveau bas, on conduit un gaz contenant du CO¿2?, dont la teneur en CO¿2? dépasse largement la teneur en CO¿2? du gaz de dégagement, cette teneur étant de préférence supérieure à 40 %, et dont la teneur en CO (s'il en contient) est nettement inférieure à la teneur en CO du gaz de dégagement, jusqu'à la zone de gazéification de fusion (8) où on le fait réagir avec du carbone, du CO étant formé simultanément.
