PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention concerne un procédé d'obtention d'alliages de manganèse à moyenne teneur en carbone. Du ferro-manganèse carburé, liquide, est placé dans un réacteur muni d'un couver- cle étanche ou placé dans une enceinte étanche. On souffle de l'oxygène mélangé avec un gaz régulateur thermique tel que CO2, air, azote, argon, vapeur d'eau. En contrôlant l'évacuation des effluents gazeux, on règle la pression dans le réacteur entre 1,5 et 15 bars, de façon à éviter la volatilisation du manganèse. Ce procédé sert en particulier à l'obtention de ferro-manganèse affiné, à 0,5 - 2% de carbone, destiné à la sidérurgie.
