This invention relates to a process for the production of resists or multicolour effects on natural or synthetic polyamide fibre materials, which, to produce resists, comprises locally applying a liquid preparation wet-on-wet before or after treating the textile material with a dyeing liquor or printing paste containing at least one anionic dye, said preparation comprising one or more than one compound of formula Image (1), wherein R1 is a straight-chain or branched C10-C24alkyl or alkenyl radical, R2 and R3 are each independently of the other C1-C4alkyl, X is the radical of an anion, and the benzene nucleus A may be further substituted, or which, to produce multicolour effects, comprises locally applying one or more than one liquid preparation wet-on-wet before or after treating the textile material with a dyeing liquor or printing paste containing at least one anionic dye, said preparation comprising containing, in addition to one or more than one compound of formula (1), at least one anionic dye, and lastly subjecting the textile goods to a heat treatment to fix the dye. Excellent resists or multicolour effects are obtained by the process of this invention.

Méthode pour la production de produits de réserve ou d'effets multicolores sur des matériaux de fibre de polyamide naturelle ou synthétique, consistant à appliquer localement une préparation liquide humide sur humide avant ou après le traitement du matériau textile avec une liqueur de teinture ou une pâte d'impression renfermant au moins un colorant anionique; la préparation renferme un ou plusieurs composés de formule Image (1), où R1 est un alcényle ou alkyle C10-C24 à chaîne droite ou ramifiée, R2 et R3 sont chacun, indépendamment l'un de l'autre, un alkyle C1-C4, X est le radical d'un anion, et le noyau benzénique A peut encore être davantage substitué; ou, pour l'obtention d'effets multicolores, consistant à appliquer localement une ou plusieurs préparations liquides humide sur humide avant ou après le traitement du matériau textile avec une liqueur de teinture ou une pâte d'impression renfermant au moins un colorant anionique; la préparation renferme en plus d'un composé de formule (1), au moins un colorant anionique; et enfin, à traiter thermiquement les matériaux textiles pour fixer le colorant. Cette invention permet d'obtenir d'excellents produits de réserve ou des effets multicolores remarquables.
