Abstract of the Disclosure A process for producing spherical carrier particles for olefin polymerization catalyst, which comprises (i) forming a suspension of particles in the molten state of an adduct of a halogen-containing magnesium compound and an active hydrogen-containing organic compound in an organic liquid medium in the presence of at least one surface- active agent as an auxiliary component, and (ii) quenching the resulting suspension to solidify the adduct particles.
