An apparatus for purifying polyketones includes a pressure vessel (2) which communicates with a water supply line (6) for delivering pressurised water into the vessel (2). Downstream of the vessel (2) is a water drain (12) for removing water to waste. In use, a sample of polyketone is placed in the vessel (2) and liquid water at high pressure (e.g. 60 bar) and high temperature (e.g. 260~C) is caused to flow through the vessel whereby relatively pure polyketone for example having relatively low sodium, phosphorus and sulphur impurities may be prepared.
L'invention concerne un appareil de purification de polycétones équipé d'un récipient (2) sous pression en communication avec une ligne (6) d'alimentation d'eau servant à distribuer de l'eau sous pression dans le récipient (2). En aval du récipient (2) se trouve un système (12) de vidange d'eau servant à éliminer l'eau à évacuer. En mode de fonctionnement, un échantillon de polycétone est placé dans le récipient (2) et de l'eau liquide à haute pression (par exemple 60 bar) et haute température (par exemple 260·C) s'écoule dans le récipient permettant ainsi d'obtenir une polycétone relativement pure contenant, par exemple, peu d'impuretés de sodium, de phosphore et de soufre.
