A process for the recovery of rhodium from an organic reaction mixture containing rhodium/phosphite ligand complex, phosphite degradation products and high-boiler organic compounds, wherein A) the organic reaction mixture is subjected to an aqueous oxidative and/or acidic treatment, resulting in an aqueous-polar organic two-phase mixture, B) the aqueous phase is removed, C) solution of lipophilic phosphine and/or lipophilic phosphite in a non-polar solvent is added to the organic phase, which solvent is immiscible with the polar organic phase, resulting in a two-phase mixture containing a non-polar organic phase rich in rhodium and lipophilic phosphine and/or lipophilic phosphite and a polar organic phase rich in phosphite degradation products and high-boiler organic compounds, or the polar organic phase is extracted with an immiscible non-polar organic solvent, resulting in a two-phase mixture containing a non-polar organic phase rich in phosphite degradation products and a polar organic phase rich in rhodium, D) the non-polar organic phase is separated from the polar organic phase.

Procédé servant à récupérer du rhodium à partir d'un mélange réactionnel organique contenant un complexe constitué par rhodium et un ligand de phosphite, des produits de dégradation du phosphite et des composés organiques présentant un point d'ébullition élevé. Ce procédé consiste: (A) à soumettre le mélange réactionnel organique à un traitement aqueux oxydatif et/ou acide, ce qui permet d'obtenir un mélange à deux phases aqueuses et organiques polaires, (B) à supprimer la phase aqueuse, (C) à effectuer l'apport à la phase organique d'une solution de phosphine lipophile et/ou de phosphite lipophile dans un solvant non polaire, ce solvant étant immiscible dans la phase organique polaire, ce qui permet d'obtenir un mélange à deux phases contenant une phase organique non polaire riche en rhodium et en phosphine lipophile et/ou phosphite lipophile et une phase organique polaire riche en produits de dégradation de phosphite et en composés organiques à point d'ébullition élevé, ou à extraire la phase organique polaire avec un solvant organique non polaire immiscible, ce qui permet d'obtenir un mélange à deux phases contenant une phase organique non polaire riche en produits de dégradation du phosphite et une phase organique polaire riche en rhodium, (D) à séparer la phase organique non polaire de la phase organique polaire.
