ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE For the recycling of electrical batteries of any chemical composition, of assembled printed circuit boards and electronic components, and in particular of unsorted mixtures of these starting materials, a pyrolysis of the starting is carried out at a temperature between 450 and 650°C, then an electrolysis of the pyrolysis slag is carried out, wherein, according to the invention, the electrolyte comprises borofluoric acid and salts thereof, and, subsequently, a separation of the electrolysis products and removal of the products accumulating at the electrodes is carried out. An initial sorting of starting materials is unnecessary, several metals, in particular mercury, are recycled for reutilization and chemical reagents are recycled and reused in the process.
