The invention relates to a method for regenerating a zeolite catalyst, comprising a thermal treatment of the catalyst in the presence of a gas stream at temperatures above 120 ~C, whereby the mass-dependent residence time of the gas stream over the catalyst during the thermal treatment is more than 2 hours.
