PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention a pour objet un procédé de régulation de la masse moléculaire d'un polydichlorophosphazène obtenu par n'importe quelle méthode. Ce procédé qui permet de réduire cette masse moléculaire à une valeur déterminée, consiste à chauffer le polydichlorophosphazène dont la masse moléculaire est à réduire en présence d'oxychlorure de phosphore. Les polydichlorophosphazènes peuvent conduire, après substitution, à une large gamme de polyorganophos- phazènes utilisables notamment comme mousses ou revêtements ignifuges, élastomères spéciaux ou polymères conducteurs.
