PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION Procédé de séparation du cérium et de terres rares. Selon ce procédé on fait passer une phase aqueuse contenant les terres rares et le cérium (III) dans le compartiment anodique d'une cellule d'électrolyse, on met ensuite en contact la phase aqueuse issue du compartiment anodique précité avec une phase organique extractive pour le cérium (IV). On fait passer la phase organique chargée en cérium dans le compartiment cathodique de la même cellule d'électrolyse alimentée conjointement par une phase aqueuse nitrique, on sépare le mélange issu du compartiment cathodique en une phase aqueuse chargée en cérium (III) qui constitue la production et en une phase organique. Selon une autre variante la phase or- ganique peut être mise en contact avec un courant gazeux issu du compartiment cathodique celui-ci étant alimenté par une solution nitrique.
