ABSTRACT The present invention provides a process for increasing the storage stability of an aqueous solution containing 20 to 80% by weight cyanamide, wherein the aqueous cyanamide solution is mixed with 0.005 to 0.5% by weight of divalent magnesium cations, referred to the cyanamide sol- ution, in the form of at least one inorganic and/ or organic magnesium salt.
