An environmentally friendly process for the preparation of the 4- functionalized N-OR derivatives of 2,2,6,6-tetraalkylpiperidines involves the hydrogen peroxide of the corresponding N-H compound to form the corresponding N-oxyl derivative, reacting two equivalents of the N-oxyl compound with one equivalent of a compound having an allylic hydrogen, a benzylic hydrogen or an activated methine hydrogen to form one equivalent of the corresponding N-OH compound and one equivalent of the corresponding N-OR compound, and recycling the N-OH compound back to the corresponding N-oxyl compound using hydrogen peroxide or air.
L'invention concerne un procédé écophile permettant de préparer des dérivés de N-OR 4-fonctionnalisés de 2,2,6,6-tétra-alkylpipéridines, selon lequel on utilise du peroxyde d'hydrogène du composé N-H correspondant, pour former le dérivé de N-oxyle correspondant, on fait réagir deux équivalents du composé N-oxyle avec un équivalent du composé ayant un hydrogène allylique, un hydrogène benzylique ou un hydrogène de méthine activé, pour former un équivalent du composé N-OH correspondant et un équivalent du composé N-OR correspondant, puis on recycle le composé N-OH à l'aide de peroxyde d'hydrogène ou d'air, pour reformer le composé N-oxyle correspondant.
