- 23 - PROCESS FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF NUCLEOSIDE-5'-ALRYLPHOSPHONATES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A nucleoside-5'-alkylphosphonate is synthesized by reacting a nucleoside or a nucleoside in which the hydroxyl groups at the 2'- and 3'-positions are protected with an alkylphosphonic halide, or reacting a nucleoside in which the hydroxyl groups at the 2'- and 3'-positions are protected with an alkylphosphonic acid or alkylphosphonic halide in the presence of a condensation agent.
