A process is provided for the solid-phase synthesis of a peptide amide which comprises attaching a .alpha.-nitrogen protected C.alpha.-carboxamide amino acid to a solid support by its side chain, removing the .alpha.-nitrogen protecting group, assembling a peptide chain on said .alpha.-nitrogen and then cleaving the assembled peptide amide from the solid support. Novel amino acid analogues, peptide amides and solid-phase supports are also provided.

L'invention concerne un procédé de synthèse en phase solide d'amidopeptide consistant à fixer, par sa chaîne latérale, un acide aminé C.alpha.-carboxamide, dont l'azote en .alpha. est protégé, à éliminer le groupe protecteur de l'azote en .alpha., à assembler une chaîne peptidique sur cet azote en .alpha., puis à scinder l'amidopeptide assemblé du support solide. L'invention concerne aussi des analogues d'acide aminé, des amidopeptides et des supports à phase solide.
