This invention concerns a process for transforming light by-products formed during thermal cracking of 1,2-dichoroethane. The procedure, which can be used in producing vinyl chloride, involves chlorinating the light by-products right after processing the 1,2-dichloroethane, in the presence of products resulting from that processing of 1,2-dichloroethane.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de transformation des sous-produits légers formes lors du craquage thermique du 1,2-dichloroéthane . Ce procédé qui est utilisable lors de la préparation du chlorure de vinyle, consiste à chlorer les sous-produits légers directement après la préparation du 1,2-dichloroéthane en présence des produits résultant de la préparation du 1,2- dichloroéthane.
