The invention concerns a process for treating the mixtures resulting from the oxidation of cyclohexane in adipic acid. The treatment includes: distillation to separate, on the one hand a distillate that contains at least a portion of the most volatile compounds and, on the other hand, the bottom of the distillation column containing the diacids which are formed, the catalyst; addition of water to the bottom part to form an aqueous solution; crystallization of the adipic acid from the said aqueous solution. The process thus makes it possible to crystallize the adipic acid in water, a solvent which has numerous advantages over others, such as acetic acid. Use of water avoids the risk of corrosion that arises through prolonged presence of aliphatic carboxylic acid when this is used as a solvent.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement de mélanges réactionnels issus de la réaction d'oxydation du cyclohexane en acide adipique. Ce traitement, comprend: - une distillation permettant de séparer d'une part un distillat comprenant au moins une partie des composés les plus volatils et d'autre part le pied de distillation comprenant les diacides formés, le catalyseur; - l'addition d'eau au pied de distillation pour former une solution aqueuse; et - la cristallisation de l'acide adipique à partir de la solution aqueuse du pied de distillation. Le procédé permet ainsi, d'opérer la cristallisation de l'acide adipique dans l'eau, solvant qui présente de nombreux avantages par rapport à d'autres solvants de cristallisation tels que l'acide acétique par exemple. Ceci prévient par le fait même des risques supplémentaires de corrosion de l'appareillage, apportés par la présence prolongée d'acide carboxylique aliphatique, lorsque celui-ci est utilisé comme solvant.
