Process for the processing of whole-wheat cereals in which the grains are subject to a shower wash. For this, only little more water is employed than is necessary to enclose the surface of the grains. In a counterflow, air is conducted past the grains, so that excess water is eliminated. The grains pre-processed this way are exposed to collision turbulence processes (Fig. 1).
