ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE My invention is directed to a process of forming dye images. I accomplish this by bleaching a silver image at least in part with a cobalt bleaching agent to form within the silver image pattern an immobile cobalt reaction product. The concurrent presence of the immobile cobalt reaction product, a peroxide oxidizing agent and a dye-image- generating reducing agent within the silver image pattern allows a dye image to be formed which corresponds to the silver image pattern.
