ABSTRACT For a decrease of the MOxcontent in the exhaust gases from cement-burning kilns by an addition of ammonia and/or ammonia-containing substances to the hot exhaust gasses it is proposed to desulfurize the exhaust gases at a temperature form 50 to 100°C in a dry or semidry process by means of a mixture of raw cement powder and to return to the hot exhaust gases coming from the ce- ment-burning kiln the reaction products of the desulfuri- zation. to which reaction products a large part of the ammonia used in surplus is adsorotively bound.
