ABSTRACT In a fusion-metallurgical process of producing fine-grained hereogeneous, ductile alloys which contain Mg2Si, the grain size of the Ng2Si crystallites formed by primary solidification is kept below 30 µm in that the molten alloy is doped with 0.05 to 2.00% by weight phosphorus.
