2128229 9315258 PCTABS00024 Residual reactive dye remaining in a salt-containing dye bath after use is removed by adsorption onto active carbon particles, and subsequent removal of the carbon by filtration. The presence of salt enhances the adsorption of dye onto the active carbon. Filtration may be carried out using a hollow fibre crossflow filter containing expanded porous polytetrafluoroethylene hollow fibres, or by back-pulse filtration.
