L'invention se rapporte à un procédé pour abaisser le point de fusion des céramides de type III sous forme d'un seul stéréoisomère. Le procédé de l'invention consiste à mélanger au moins un céramide de type III sous forme d'un seul stéréoisomère avec au moins un céramide de type V. Préférablement, on mélange de plus au moins un céramide de type II et/ou un céramide de type IV. Le procédé de l'invention conduit à un mélange qui peut être avantageusement introduit dans des compositions cosmétiques ou dermatologiques.
