A process is provided for selectively separating oxygen from an oxygen-containing fluid stream by bringing said fluid stream into contact with a high capacity solid state cyanocobaltate complex in a non-aluminosilicate environment represented by the chemical formula: A~~z[Co(CN~n]X-~ pS where: A is an alkali, alkaline earth, transition, or Group 12 metal atom; z is 1, 2 or 3; n is any number from 3 to 5; x is n - 2; p is any number from greater than zero to 6; and S is a ligand which is capable of coordinating with AZ+, Co or both. These complexes chemically bind oxygen to form novel oxygen adducts, thereby selectively removing oxygen from the fluid stream. The bound oxygen may be recovered by increasing the temperature or by reducing the partial pressure of °2 above the adduct.
Divulgation d'un procédé pour séparer sélectivement l'oxygène contenu dans un circuit de fluide contenant de l'oxygène, en amenant ce circuit de fluide en contact avec un complexe cyano du cobalt, solide et de haute capacité, dans un environnement exempt d'aluminosilicate, représenté par la formule chimique, Az+x/z¢Co(CN)n!x- pS, dans laquelle : A est un atome de métal alcalin, alcalino-terreux, de transition ou du groupe 12; z est égal à 1, 2 ou 3; n est n'importe quel nombre allant de 3 à 5; x est égal à n - 2; p est n'importe quel nombre supérieur à 0 et allant jusqu'à 6; et S est un ligand capable de coordination avec Az+, Co ou les deux. Ces complexes se lient chimiquement à l'oxygène pour former de nouveaux composés d'addition oxygénés, éliminant ainsi sélectivement l'oxygène du circuit de fluide. L'oxygène lié peut être récupéré en élevant la température ou en réduisant la pression partielle de O2 au-dessus du composé d'addition.
