ABREGE DESCRIPTIF Selon l'invention, on effectue sur la surface de circulation l'épandage d'un fondant à base de chlorure alcalin et d'eau, le fondant étant un mélange contenant une faible proportion d'un adjuvant augmentant les propriétés thixotropiques du mélange sans modifier sensiblement ses propriétés fondantes. L'adjuvant est par exemple la silice colloïdale hydrophile pyrogénée, ou un silicate hydraté d'aluminium et/ou de magnésium en poudre de type bentonite ou montmorillonite. On augmente ainsi la viscosité du fondant, et on diminue simultanément sa vitesse d'évacuation. Le procédé trouve son application pour l'entretien des chaussées en hiver.
