Processes are provided for producing triphenylene by combining at least dodecahydrotriphenylene, a dehydrogenation catalyst such as palladium on carbon, and an aliphatic solvent having a boiling point greater than 180°C to form a reaction mixture, heating the reaction mixture to at least about 180°C but lower than the boiling point of the aliphatic solvent, maintaining the temperature of the reaction mixture at 180°C but lower than the boiling point of the aliphatic solvent, and passing a purge fluid comprising an inert fluid through the reaction mixture, for a period of time adequate for production of triphenylene.
L'invention concerne des procédés de production de triphénylène consistant à combiner au moins du dodécahydrotriphénylène, un catalyseur de déshydrogénation tel que du palladium sur carbone et un solvant aliphatique doté d'un point d'ébullition supérieur à 180 °C pour former un mélange de réaction, à chauffer le mélange de réaction à une température d'au moins 180 °C environ, mais inférieure au point d'ébullition du solvant aliphatique, à maintenir le mélange de réaction à cette température, et à faire passer un fluide de purge composé d'un fluide inerte à travers le mélange de réaction pendant un laps de temps adapté à la production de triphénylène.
