Processes for producing articles with stress-free edges which comprise slitting a copper or copper alloy sheet to provide strips of the copper material, heating the strips in a furnace at a temperature of 200-250 ~C under a protective atmosphere, and cooling the strips to room temperature, the strips so produced being useful to make stamped articles.

L'invention concerne des procédés de production d'articles comportant des rives sans contrainte. Les procédés consistent à cisailler une feuille de cuivre ou d'alliage de cuivre pour réaliser des rubans du matériau en cuivre, à chauffer les rubans dans un four à une température comprise entre 200 et 250 ·C dans une atmosphère protectrice, et à refroidir les rubans à la température ambiante. Les rubans ainsi produits sont utiles pour la fabrication d'articles estampés.
