A process for efficiently preparing novel naphthyridine derivatives exhibiting high tachykinin receptor antagonism, which comprises reacting a compound represented by general formula (1) with a carboxylic acid derivative or other acylating agent: wherein R1, R2 and R3 are each independently hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, aryl, heteroaryl, amino or the like; and X1 and X2 are each halogeno.

L'invention concerne un procédé efficace de préparation de nouveaux dérivés de naphthyridine qui présentent un antagonisme puissant à l'égard du récepteur de la tachykinine, le procédé comportant une étape consistant à faire réagir un composé représenté par la formule générale (1) avec un dérivé d'acide carboxylique ou avec un autre agent acylant. Dans la formule, R¿1?, R¿2? et R¿3? sont chacun indépendamment hydrogène, alkyle inférieur, alcoxy inférieur, aryle, hétéroaryle, amino ou analogue; et X¿1? et X¿2? sont chacun halogéno.
