ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A processing link control system for data processing equipment is disclosed. After branching from the main routine to a sub-routine sev- oral addresses in the main routine can be returned to instead of just one. This is possible by modifying the return address using an address modifi- eation bit in the instruction which is used to save the return address.
