ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for separation of raw milk by centrifu- gal separation into cream, which is cooled in a first heat exchanger, and into skim milk which is heated to pasteuriza- tion and cooled by regenerative heat exchange in a second heat exchanger, is described.. The characteristic feature is that the feed of raw milk is separated into two part streams, of which the first is heated in the second heat ex- changer to separation temperature, while the second part stream is heated in the first heat exchanger and is then combined with the first part stream and centrifugally separated.
