The invention is a series of chemical sequential procedures, producing, particularly the Platinum Group Metals, from a solution of complex chloride precious metals salts, which is derived either from ore, or from iron, which had been reduced in a blast furnace. To said precious metal solution is added ionic potassium. To said altered solution, is added either ammonium nitrate or aluminum chloride. Any said altered solutions are decomposed by heat to produce refractory insoluble precious metal products, which are purified from base metal products by rinsing in acids.
