There is described a method of fabricating a paperboard enclosure comprising the steps of forming a paperboard web having a substantially continuous, hot, viscous curtain of polymer applied exclusively to one side thereof, by means of printing apparatus, applying a solution of water based, polymer emulsion to relatively small, predetermined areas of the other side of the paperboard web, cutting an enclosure blank from the web having an inside surface corresponding to the one web side and an outside surface corresponding to the other web side, and forming an enclosure configuration from the blank with paired closure portions having lapped, mutually facing surfaces, one of the mutually facing surfaces being an inside surface and the other facing surface being a predetermined area of polymer emulsion whereby the mutually facing surfaces are bonded together as a consequence of mutual heating and contacting.
La présente invention a pour objet une méthode pour la fabrication d'une enceinte en carton rigide comportant les étapes suivantes : fabrication d'une bande de carton rigide comportant un couchage essentiellement continu de polymère chaud et visqueux appliqué sur un seul côté de la bande; au moyen d'un dispositif imprimeur, application d'une émulsion polymérique à base d'eau sur de relativement petites portions prédéterminées de surface sur l'autre côté de la bande de carton rigide; découpage d'une découpe de l'enceinte présentant une surface intérieure correspondant à un premier côté de la bande et une surface extérieure correspondant réalisation de la configuration de l'enceinte au moyen de la découpe et à l'aide de parties appariées en chevauchement mutuel, l'une des faces en chevauchement étant la surface intérieure de la bande, l'autre face étant une portion prédéterminée de surface enduite d'émulsion polymérique, les deux surfaces en question étant collées l'une à l'autre par chauffage et contact mutuel.
